For the record, who's answering the interview?

Hi, my name is Andreas and I play the guitar.

What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?

DELIRIOUS

Our band name is Delirious. When we came together 25 years ago, we tried different names but it has to sound cool and of course it had to make sense to the style of music we make. So Delirious seemed to be perfect and we think it is perfect!

So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?

DELIRIOUS

Actually we are four members. The second man on the guitar left us in the last month.
So we are:
Markus "Betty" Bednarek - Vocals
Andreas Supplie - Guitar
Markus Keller - Drums
Christian "Spletty" Splettstösser - Bass

How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?

DELIRIOUS

Ok. We make the music that we would like to buy in a shop. Finally our sound is Thrash Metal with a strong leaning to the early Bay Area sound.
What makes us unique?“ That's a good question... I think that's not our turn to move ourselves in the right light. Hear the music and decide for yourself. If it is good or perhaps not so good.

What bands have influenced each of you?

DELIRIOUS

All of the members prefer the early Bay Area Sound with bands like Metallica, Exodus, Testament...
Our drummer started with Kiss and I've started with Queen and the early U2 and I prefer bands like Gamma ray, Unisonic, Starchild too.

How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?

DELIRIOUS

We make music for our own fun, so we're acting like the power of our sound. The show is no fake, it's real. So return to the question: Whore!

How would you describe your shows?

DELIRIOUS

Someday we got a recording from one of our gigs and after hearing we said: Wow, one and half hour thrashing, banging to the bones. Metal up your ass!

Tell us about your favorite show and why?

DELIRIOUS

Once a year there is a Metal festival near Cologne, organized by a HeavyMetalClub called Hard 'n' Heavy's Rhein/Sieg e.V.“. We've played there for four times and the feeling, the atmosphere, the organization give you the feeling of coming home, do you know what I mean? And with such a background you can play like a god, superhero...whatever!

Tell us about your worst show and why?

DELIRIOUS

There are so many concerts you can grumble about this or that. At least all shows have made a lot of fun.

Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?

DELIRIOUS

Maybe a show with Slayer, Exodus or Testament (again) would paint a big smile on our faces.

Do you have a street team and how can you join?

DELIRIOUS

Excuse me, i don't understand the question! Street team?

ATP

Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?

DELIRIOUS

In the past we had two record labels; but it was not a good experience. So now we are not interested in a record deal. We do it by ourselves.

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?

DELIRIOUS

After 25 years we can or we have to say that making music is a big big part in our life and we don't want to change it. When you will take a look in the future you will see Delirious on and on and on...
