For the record, who's answering the interview?

SOUL COLLECTOR

Hi everybody, this is Rafał Halamoda, lead singer in thrashing machine Soul Collector.

What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?

SOUL COLLECTOR

The bands name is Soul Collector. We had many different ideas and a lot was really stupid, such as Eternal Dream etc. At least we decided to choose a name from an upcoming Destruction song.

So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?

SOUL COLLECTOR

As I said before, I’ m a lead singer and also manager of the band. My younger brother is lead guitarist and author of all music and most of the lyrics- some parts of lyrics for our debut LP was written by me. Second lead guitarist is Artur Kajzer, bass player name is Mateusz Wajs, and Dawid Kuźnik plays on drums.

How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?

SOUL COLLECTOR

It sounds like massive group of mad hornets! (laugh) And what makes us unique? I think aggression mixed with some portion of melody. Besides this, my vocal is also very characteristic- not everybody will like it, but you will always know that this is our band, when you will hear it.

What bands have influenced each of you?

SOUL COLLECTOR

I can speak only in my name. My biggest inspirations are Zetro and Blitz, but I’ m inspired also by Udo or even Bon Scott. I know these are vocalists, but probably every metalhead know from what groups they come.

How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?

SOUL COLLECTOR

That’s great question! One of the most interesting I ‘ve ever answered (laugh). In my opinion- great MILF whore (laugh).

How would you describe your shows?

SOUL COLLECTOR

It’s a fucking thrash- come and see us!

ATP

Tell us about your favorite show and why?

SOUL COLLECTOR

Best show? Definitely our fifth anniversary! We played gig in Rybnik, public was awesome, they were singing lyrics and at the end of our show, they sang “Happy birthday” for us- it was completely impulsive!

Tell us about your worst show and why?

SOUL COLLECTOR

As I remember it was gig in some little town on the east of Poland. The place was full of drunken rednecks who completely didn’t understand what kind of band we are. They were little aggressive, but at least they didn’t eat us (laugh). Now it’s pretty funny, but then it wasn’t… What is more - we were the only band, which came to this event. All the rest resigned the same day…

Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?

SOUL COLLECTOR

I would like to support Iron Maiden- they are my number one band. Where- it doesn’t matter, but I think “Rock In Rio” is best option (laugh).

Do you have a street team and how can you join?

SOUL COLLECTOR

We don't have one.

ATP

Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?

SOUL COLLECTOR

Our first LP- “Thrashmageddon” was released by “Defense Records”. Currently we record three songs for a split, which will be released by the same label, so I can say that we have a label. They are great people- cheers guys!

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?

SOUL COLLECTOR

In five years we have plans to land on the Mars (laugh). I don’t know really… At present we are focused on records. When it will be done, we are going to play gigs around Poland. We hope, that split will be released in this year. Our next move? Second LP, but it’s a long way to this.
