"Death Pit is a thrash/crossover thrash band made up of three friends from Mecosta, Michigan Earl Gilmore on bass and vocals, Matt Blodgett as lead guitar/backup vocals, and T.J. D'Hoest on rhythm guitar/back up vocals. Earl and T.J. have been long time friends since the beginning of there middle school years. It wasn't until years later when they met Matt and soon later Earl and Matt started a band "Fatal Demise" Matt. They had a good run playing shows under the name but then they soon parted way's do to creative differences with their drummer and other personal reasons. Soon after splitting up Earl and Matt went off on there own to start there own Thrash/Crossover band DEATH PIT they soon after recruited TJ and the three never looked back releasing there self titled demo in mid 2012 they than released there first ep entitled (The Beast Of Fever Swamp) in 2013. It got great reviews with shredding riffs and devastating solos as well They soon started to acquire a steadily growing fan base and new this was only the beginning.They recently released there second ep on October 31 2013 Halloween night entitled (Hell On Hallows Eve)" This album showed more of a pitch variety in Earls vocals with screeching highs and darker riffs. We are currently in the works for our first studio album entitled Knight Of The Living Dead coming later this fall!
