What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?

KUAZAR

We wanted a strong name and an unusual name as well, so we found this word “quasar” on a science book when we read the description of the “quasar” we loved it and we picked the name and changed it into KUAZAR Here you can find out what KUAZAR or “quasar” stands for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quasar

So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?

KUAZAR

We are a power trio: Jose Maria Gonzalez – guitar and vocals
Ratty Gonzalez – drums
Marcelo Saracho- bass and backing vocals

How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?

KUAZAR

I think the word that can describe kuazar’s music is versatility, like on “truth of reality” the first song of the album (wrath of god) the song starts with a blast beat tempo and then it turns into a thrash old school style and changes again several times… that is the way we feel about music, there a lot of stuff you can do and we like to explore that

What bands have influenced each of you?

KUAZAR

My brother (ratty) he listen to bands like testament, lamb of god, mastodon, slayer, kreator
Marcelo is a huge sepultura fan and also a die hard sarcofago fan also, and of course a lot of classic metal bands too
I listen to a lot of judas priest, kreator, slayer, iron maiden, lamb of god, hyrax, cannibal corpse … I like band from the beatles to benediction so I listen to a lot of bands

How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?

KUAZAR

Jajaja filthy whore, we played on great shows so I think we are quite experienced.

How would you describe your shows?

KUAZAR

Tell us about your favorite show and why?

KUAZAR

I think my favorite show was opening for MEGADETH, people went crazy with our show and that show really helped us to get more “fans” (we don’t like that word, we prefer friends!!) the atmosphere on that show was great it was a huge metal party, amazing night

Tell us about your worst show and why?

KUAZAR

Worst show ? mmm we don’t have a particular worst show, let me see … have one on my mind I won’t say where it was but we got there and there were no amps and the drum kit was falling apart … we gave our best but it sounded terrible but it wasn’t a big deal we had fun the metalheads realize what happened and that is what’s important

Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?

KUAZAR

Iron maiden is our favorite band, playing with them would be our dream show. Or playing on wacken open air’s main stage one day .

Do you have a street team and how can you join?

KUAZAR

Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?

KUAZAR

We are an independent band, now we signed a distribution deal with “ROCK ANIMAL” they will release our album (wrath of god) on BRASIL! The album will be released on PERU by “GATE OF HORROR DISTRO”, and it was released in GREECE too (CHAINSAW DISTRO)

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?

KUAZAR

This or Next year we will release our second album, this month (august) we will release our first DVD named WRATH ON THE ROAD …so I see kuazar playing a lot and hopefully touring around the world playing our METAL PYNANDI (barefeet metal this is a tribute to our roots)
